Geometry from quantum particles

چکیده
We investigate the possibility that a background independent quantum theory of gravity is not a theory of quantum geometry. We provide a way for global spacetime symmetries to emerge from a background independent theory without geometry. In this, we use a quantum information theoretic formulation of quantum gravity and the method of noiseless subsystems in quantum error correction. This is also a method that can extract particles from a quantum geometric theory such as a spin foam model. Email address: [email protected] Email address: [email protected]

Micro Particles Transport and Deposition in Realistic Geometry of Human Upper Airways
Realistic geometry of human upper airways from mouth to the end of trachea was reconstructed by implementing the CT-Scan images of a male subject. A computational model for analyzing the airflow in the airways was developed and several simulations were performed. To capture the anisotropy of the inhaled airflow in the upper airways, the Reynolds stress transport model of turbulence was used ...
متن کامل" Extended " Particles, Non Commutative Geometry and Unification
A reconciliation of gravitation and electromagnetism has eluded physics for neearly a century. It is argued here that this is because both quantum physics and classical physics are set in differentiable space time manifolds with point particles. Once we consider extended particles as in Quantum Superstring theory, and the consequential underlying Non-Commutative geometry, then a reconciliation ...

The generalized uncertainty principle of string theory is derived in the framework of Quantum Geometry by taking into account the existence of an upper limit on the acceleration of massive particles. PACS: 11.17.+y; 04.62.+v
متن کامل0 Ju n 20 04 Can Quasi - Particles Tunnel Through A Barrier ?
This is a qualitative description of a systematic analysis carried out by us . We address the question of whether fractionally charged particles, in the context of the fractional quantum Hall effect (FQHE) can tunnel through a potential barrier (around which the density of the quantum Hall liquid is practically zero). Setting the barrier in a multiply-connected FQHE geometry removes the ”global...
متن کاملContemporary development of Einstein’s ideas on space-time and Brownian motion
Development of the contemporary theory of physical phenomena in the microcosm is considered to be a result of development of Einstein’s ideas on a possibility of the event space modification and on a possibility of stochastic (Brownian) motion of free particles. One considers the space-time modification, based on a new conception of geometry. In the framework of this conception any geometry is ...
